The Challenge: Complexity vs. Utility
"Finding a lost item shouldn't require a subscription or a battery charge."
The Context: GPS trackers like AirTags are powerful but expensive, bulky, and require batteries. Losty sought to fill the gap for a durable, passive, and affordable solution to tag everyday items like keys, luggage, or backpacks.
The Problem:
- The "Finder's Friction": If someone finds lost keys, they often don't know how to return them. Taking them to a police station is a hassle.
- Barrier to Entry: Requiring the "Finder" to download a specific app just to report a lost item drastically reduces the recovery rate.
- Inaction: Without a simple path to return items, many finders simply leave them where they are.
The Goal:
To create a "Zero-Friction" recovery system where anyone with a smartphone camera or NFC reader can become a "Hero" instantly.

Losty: Tag it, Lose it, Get it back! — Be a hero & Co-Branding
The Solution: A Web-Based "Hero" Interface
We built a friction-less web platform that bridges the physical tag to the digital cloud.
A. The "Tag & Link" System
Easy Registration: Buyers register their physical NFC tag on the Losty web app. The tag is then permanently linked to their secure digital profile.
Dual-Technology: The physical tags utilize both NFC (Near Field Communication) for a simple tap and QR Codes for visual scanning, ensuring compatibility with older phones.
B. The "Be a Hero" Workflow
Instant Notification: When a lost item is found, the finder simply taps the tag. They are instantly redirected to a "Be a Hero" landing page.
Privacy Proxy: The finder can send a message or call the owner through the platform without necessarily revealing personal phone numbers (depending on user privacy settings).
C. B2B Co-Branding Engine
Corporate Swag: As shown in the "Losty Co-Branding Experience" screen, the platform allows companies to white-label the interface. If a user scans a tag given by a specific brand, the "Found" page displays that brand's logo and colors.
